LAFAYETTE, La. (NEWS 15) — A Lafayette man was arrested after allegedly shooting at a man who interrupted a burglary attempt at his neighbor’s home in May, according to the Lafayette Police Department.
Demarko Alfred, 26, of Lafayette, is charged with attempted second-degree murder, attempted simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling, attempted simple burglary of a vehicle (multiple counts), aggravated criminal damage to property, and possession of a firearm or carrying a concealed weapon by a person convicted of certain felonies. His bond is set at $155,000.
