Suspect at large after Thursday morning home burglary

Scott County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a “masked, armed individual” broke into an Ironworks Road home with residents inside Thursday, June 4, and stole belongings and cash, according to Lt. Robert Tackett. No suspect has been identified as of press time, and no injuries were reported following the incident.

Around 7:30 a.m. Thursday, the suspect ordered the residents into a closet with a handgun and took their cellphones “so they couldn’t call for help,” Tackett said. Sheriff’s deputies have since located the cellphones and a firearm magazine in the area, and the department continues to investigate the scene…
