This CO alarm is popular for its convenience, since it is simply plug and play. At the same time, it offers full protection since it has a battery backup. The device should be placed in every sleeping area as well as on every level of the property. It features an easy access battery door at the front that allows the battery to be changed without having to take the device down.
An alarm will sound when the battery runs low, but a mute button can silence that for eight hours. It also has an end of life timer, which means an alarm will start to chirp when it is time to replace the device. CO monitors should be replaced every five years. When unsafe levels of CO are detected, the CO alarm sounds at 85 dB.
