Beverly mansion heist suspect to remain in jail pending dangerousness hearing

A man charged with stealing an estimated $8 million in cash, coins, jewelry and other valuables during a violent home invasion at a Beverly mansion earlier this year was ordered held without bail at his arraignment Wednesday.

Emajae Brown, 25, was indicted last month on 10 charges, including armed burglary, home invasion, assault and battery, kidnapping, witness intimidation and breaking and entering, which moved the case from district to Superior Court.

Authorities originally said they believed two people were involved in the burglary, but so far have only announced Brown’s arrest.
