Awesome!

By Joshua Mcneese

Look you got to give this product five stars! Yes it may not be perfect but it is about as close as a product can be. Installation and Setup is a breeze and I like the way it works, and how it is preset to about what you want without any programing...

I think it's packaging and design is very well done! My house got broken into twon months ago, and now I really feel safer knowing this is there!

Very good & simple system

By Andres C. Enrico "Andres C."

6 months now from installation (simple by the way), no problems to report. Only one false allarm in 6 months.
Only three wishes: little more range for the remote control, more power to siren, and better documentation (even if the whole set works very well).
With no much more other systems to choose from Amazon, I think it is a good deal.

Skylink Home Security System [reviewed]

By Ron B "Ron B"

Great product for the money. Siren decibel level will definitely deter would-be burglars. Optional autodialer to police, fire, relatives, etc. a great addition. Provides full-time security at a fraction of the cost of monthly monitoring companies.

Needs Louder Alarm Sound

By Ed K

I have installed the SC-100 Security System about a week ago together with the AA-433 Remote Alarm. Installation was very easy and the Manual is concise but complete. The noise level of the alarm within the house (Part of the keypad) is loud if you sleep in the same room where the alarm is located.

I have installed the keypad (alarm) in a closet in another bedroom. It is barely audible outside of the house. Knowing this from prior reviews, I purchased the AA-433 Remote Alarm (Direct from Skylink) and installed it in the attic by the front of the house.

This is audible in the front yard but clearly not loud enough to disturb a neigbor - Perhaps that's a positive?? We live on a 60 x 100 lot and there are neighbors on both sides with the same size lots. We now have two alarms sounding and a burglar would not know it if he were entering the home from the rear. So I have to buy another alarm and install in the attic in the rear of the home.

Importance Of Choosing A Home Security Company That Is Right For You

If peace of mind and ultimate security are what you require, there is no safer, more trusted way to go than with a contracted home security company. Home security companies offer a full range of services, from installation of security and alarm equipment, to patrolling and rapid response as well as local law enforcement liaison duties. Choosing a home security company involves doing some research and asking some serious questions in order to find a competent, effective organization.

A recommendation is often the best way to go when choosing a home security company; positive word of mouth is usually indicative of a company whose services can be trusted. Once you have a recommendation, it is up to you to start asking questions in order to determine if the home security company in question is the right fit for your needs. Following are some important questions for you to consider when choosing a home security company.

Basic Considerations For Choosing A Home Security Company

Do some basic research, much of which can be accomplished on the Internet. How long has the company been in business? Are they a well-known, established company or are they new and untested? When choosing a home security company look for one that has a wealth of experience behind it, with positive referrals from a host of satisfied customers. If the Internet does not have the information you are looking for, do not be afraid to ask direct questions to the company representative.

Make sure that the company utilizes the latest advances in technology in the home security sector. Many years ago, rapid response and cell phone communications were state-of-the-art but there have been new technologies and innovations released into the field in recent years. Make certain the company you select makes full use of these innovations.

For installation of cameras and alarms, the installer should have a broad foundation of knowledge about all aspects of home security. He should not simply be a subcontractor tasked to do some wiring and minor carpentry. Question the installer to get a feel for their range of knowledge, and if you feel they do not have a firm understanding of pertinent issues in the home security field, go with a different company.

When choosing a home security company make sure that all representatives of the company are trained and certified as home security specialists. Guards and first-response personnel should be fully trained and licensed, particularly if they carry firearms. Telephone personnel should do more than simply answer phones; they should have additional emergency training. Installers should be able to answer a broad range of questions about their field. All company representatives should be trained to work in tandem with the police and know what the limits of their responsibilities are.

choosing a home security company that meets all your unique needs is the first step towards ensuring that you, your family and your property are safe from intruders.
